To the JOY and RELIEF of those, who thought that Galileo lived a life
of subservience without having the oportunity to stand for his
convictions, I have an interesting piece of trivia
On display at the Museo di Storia del Scienza in Florence, Italy is a
reliquary that holds the right hand finger of our harassed scientist,
pointing towards the heavens. As if making a final stand for eternity,
against the accusations of heresy against the church, for standing
upto his scientific beliefs, Galileo extends his middle finger!!!
